I was in the same situation not long ago. At 45 I developed pain in my lower back after years of working at an office and sit for most of the day. This caused strain on my back.

At the time I felt a few twinges but didn’t think anything of it. I had a few episodes of back pain in the past but it was never severe enough for me to seek treatment.

Until one day the pain increased steadily and became very severe and began radiating down the back of my thigh at times.  Was like an electric, burning, pinching, or pins-and-needles feeling in the same area down to my toes.

I couldn’t get off the bed, tie my own shoes or even walk down the steps without any help.

I spent so much time using heat packs, cold packs, a theracane, tennis ball, you-name-it to get the trigger points to release the pain and muscles, only to wake the next morning & have them back again with a vengeance…

At 45 I was living like I was 77 years old.

Doctors didn’t find anything worng with my spine so they recommended physical therapy. I helped a bit for a brief while. It was tedious and took too much time to go to each session. Also was very expensive to keep going 3 times a week. I felt the progress wasn’t fast enough. Maybe they were more interested in my money?

That’s when I friend who has been working out with a yoga instructor for a year mentioned to giving this program called yoga burn a go. I discovered that Yoga represents a special discipline of stretching and tightening the body, while keeping is safe from harm and exposed to less injuries. Therefore, many people turn to yoga as a wonderful practice, which can also help amazingly in treating sciatic nerve and back pain.

I took her for her word and started doing flexes in my living room 4 times a week.

It was amazing and I felt how my body slowly healed itself week after week.

Few weeks later I don’t have any excruciating back pain. My lower back and core have been strengthened and now I can walk straight, jog for a few miles, take my grand-kids to the park and even do gardening in the yard.

Here are the 3 best moves I did using Yoga-Burn exercises that relieve my back pain and strength my abdominal muscles…And did I say helped me lose 10 pounds along the way?

    The Knee Raise: Start flat on your back and raise one knee to your chest, while expending the other leg straight. Shoulders need to be glued to the floor, while you’re pushing with your knee

    The Cat-Cow Pose: Begin on all fours. Breathe deep and star lifting the upper body by pulling your shoulders back. Breathe for ten seconds, then release and drop stomach to the ground, until you form and arch. Hold for ten seconds and release. Repeat for sixty second.

    Child’s Pose: This is the easiest and most comfortable pose of all. Kneel and begin extending forward while keeping the knees grounded. Lay out the hands in front of you. Hold position for as long as you wish. This pose can be practiced, just like the other ones, at any given time of the day.
